LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
Thank you for visiting our website, the 'Reach Me' Foundation! Our purpose is to reach young people who are often considered “at-risk” that lack the fundamental knowledge necessary to live a wholesome and productive life, and provide them with tools to contribute to society. Our team approach is to create a nurturing environment that caters to youth development, educational excellence and empowerment. Out of this need was born the ‘Reach Me’ Foundation.
The 'Reach Me' Foundation is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that is faith-based, and utilizes the skills of volunteers dedicated to making a positive change in the lives of our youth and the communities they serve. The 'Reach Me' Foundation will use as a resource teachers, parents, counselors, secular professionals, and clergy to help youth in recovery and restoration. If we all work together, I know we can make an impact in the lives of our youth. This is my passion, and my vision.
As a means of enhancing our effectiveness to the growing needs of youth in the 21st century, I am proud to say that we have been approved by the Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs to become a California Access to Recovery Effort (CARE) recovery support provider. As part of the CARE provider network, 'Reach Me' may now accept recovery support vouchers from CARE clients and provide authorized and allowable services to those clients.
We believe that if you, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart form it." (Bible, Proverbs 22:6) The training and nurturing we give on an individual basis or as a group will make the difference in our society. We must reach out to our children and give them the best opportunity to have a productive life. Please join us in our quest to make a better world, by making a better generation of youth. The rewards will be greater than we could ever imagine.
May God Bless You!
Dr. Glenda Smith-Lee
